Need help with my Canon Powershot S2IS?

My camera was working perfectly fine, Im not sure exactly what happened but I just used it and it say memory card full and Ive erased all pictures on it, not sure what else to do since it does not come up with any pics on the camera or when I put my memory card in my computer. Also when I open the viewing screen instead of just showing a picture it shows the pic in a little box and next to it is a box that is black and blue mountain looking things like a chart of some sort and a menu type thing under both boxes. I just want it to show a picture like it used to do. Again I have no idea how this happened but if anyone knows how to fix it PLEASE help me, I borrowed this camera from my sister like a year ago and she has been asking me about it, I would like to get it back to her in good shape. Sometimes the memory cards think that there are pictures on it but there are none. If you always pull your memory card out and put it into your computer and not just export the pictures or video straight out of the camera you will need to format your memory card from your cameras settings in your menu area. All canons have a menu button just push that and look for the “format or format card” icon
